Product Overview
The Unidata WPU-7800 is a wireless WiFi SIP phone compatible with most SIP based platforms including Asterisk®, Trixbox®, Elastix® as well as Nortel, Avaya, Splicecom, and Broadsoft. The WPU-7800 offers the same market leading SIP / WiFI capabilities as the WPU-770 it replaces but boasts a larger screen and more modern design. The WPU7800 features WMM™ for QoS and an Enhanced Power Save Mode for longer battery life.
A variety of security features are available on the WPU-7800 including WEP (64 /128 bits), WPA-PSK, 802.1x (EAP-MD5, EAP-TTLS, PEAP, EAP-TLS) and 802.11x (WPA/WPA2 Personal and Enterprise). The Unidata WPU7800 WiFi Phone also allows for the pre-configuration of up to 5 network profiles. The handset can detect wireless networks that are in proximity using a built-in Wireless LAN Site Survey feature.
The WPU7800 features simple WLAN profile configuration for instant network connection, DHCP / Static IP, DiffServ (ToS) Tagging, NAT Traversal via UPnP or STUN, Automatic roaming between APs and layer 3 SIP handoff. Wireless roaming is one of the key selling points of the SQ-3000 as it means calls are not dropped when roaming between access points, which is a feature most competing products can not support.
