October 09, 2008 -- Grandstream Networks announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Grandstream BudgeTone 101. Grandstream will stop taking new orders for the BudgeTone 101 effective immediately and no new firmware updates are planned for this model. BudgeTone 101 customers will continue to receive support (including RMA services) from Grandstream for up to 12 months after end-of-life.
Grandstream BudgeTone 101 customers are encouraged to migrate to the BudgeTone 201. The BudgeTone 201 features advanced telephony functionality (same software functions as BT200), a single RJ45 10M/100 Mbps Ethernet port, full duplex speakerphone with acoustic echo cancellation, popular voice codecs, custom ring tones, and SRTP. The sum of which offers the SOHO and residential markets value beyond the BudgeTone 101.
Grandstream believes that migration from BudgeTone 101 to BudgeTone 201 should be straightforward.
