Grandstream Announces the GXP2020EXT Extension Module

IT EXPO EAST CONFERENCE & EXPO, Miami (February 2, 2009) -- Grandstream Networks, a worldwide leading manufacturer of next-generation IP voice, video and IP-PBX products, today announced the release of an extension module, the GXP2020EXT. The GXP2020EXT was created to build additional flexibility, functionality and versatility to Grandstream’s existing GXP2020 and GXP2010 Enterprise IP Phones. The GXP2020EXT is the ideal solution for offices managing high call volumes or an office receptionist. The GXP2020EXT maximizes office productivity by efficiently monitoring and dispatching multiple incoming calls.

The GXP2020EXT module features the same sleek look and feel as the GXP enterprise phone series, 56 programmable buttons (each with dual color LED) and up to 112 programmable buttons when two extension modules are daisy chained together. The GXP2020EXT module is connected to and controlled by the GXP2020 or GXP2010 with a short connector cable, providing the benefits of the additional keys instantly. Power and signaling are provided by the host phone. The GXP2020EXT supports the traditional call features on each of its programmable buttons, including BLF (busy lamp field), BLA (busy line answer), conference/call transfer/forward/pick up.

Lasse Larson CEO of Migrax, a Grandstream distributor in Sweden, states “The GXP2020EXT is a perfect complement aesthetically and installation wise for the GXP2020 and GXP2010 enterprise phones. We were amazed at how quickly the device was able to be up and running. Kudos to Grandstream for building another plug and play product that adds much versatility and flexibility to the GXP2020 and GXP2010 enterprise phone models. We are sure that the GXP2020EXT is going to add to the growing popularity in the GXP2020 and GXP2010 models in the SMB/ enterprise market space.”

“The GXP2020EXT will add a wealth of functionality and versatility to the GXP2020 and GXP2010 phones,” said David Li, CEO of Grandstream Networks. “Combined with the above IP phones, it provides an excellent solution for the busy office environment, call centers, and office receptionists where simultaneous calls need to be attended to quickly and easily. We are very pleased to announce this product as a complementary addition to our GXP2020 and GXP2010 phones.”

The GXP2020EXT will be available mid March.
